Subprocessors

About this list

First Mate uses these providers to run the Service. Each receives only what it needs for its job, and processes it on our behalf under its terms with us. Where a provider's data processing addendum or transfer safeguard is in place, the entry says so.

This is the list of authorised subprocessors under our Data Processing Addendum. We update this page at least 14 days before a new provider receives your boat's data; business customers who ask us to will also be told by email.

Supabase

• Purpose: database, sign-in and file storage.
• Data: your account and your boat's whole record, including uploaded files.
• Location: United States (Oregon).
• Transfer safeguard: Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, in Supabase's data processing addendum.

Vercel

• Purpose: hosts the website and the app's servers.
• Data: every request passes through it; server logs.
• Location: United States (Oregon), with static pages served from its global network.
• Transfer safeguard: Vercel is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension.

Resend

• Purpose: delivers sign-in and invitation emails.
• Data: your email address and the email's content.
• Location: United States.
• Transfer safeguard: EU–US Data Privacy Framework and UK Extension; Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum in Resend's data processing addendum.

Google Analytics

• Purpose: counts website and app visits and which pages are used (see section 2 of our Privacy Policy). Advertising features are off.
• Data: page addresses without query strings, browser and device type, approximate location, and a scrambled code in place of your account when you're signed in — never your name, email or boat's record.
• Location: United States.
• Transfer safeguard: Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension.

Together AI

• Purpose: hosts the default AI models for chat, reading documents and photos, and extracting equipment lists.
• Data: your chat messages, the parts of your boat's record needed to answer, and documents or photos sent to be read.
• Location: United States.

Anthropic

• Purpose: Claude models when you add your own Anthropic key (under your account with Anthropic), and matching shopping items to product links.
• Data: with your key, the same as Together AI; for product matching, shopping item names and notes only. Anthropic does not train on it.
• Location: United States.
• Transfer safeguard: Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, in Anthropic's data processing addendum.

Tavily

• Purpose: web search when the assistant looks something up or finds a manual.
• Data: search terms and web addresses — not your account details.
• Location: United States.

Serper

• Purpose: shopping search for price estimates and product links.
• Data: shopping item names only — never your account or boat details.
